Hofmann hot dogs with Howard’s Piccalilli

We got back to camp and I got into some dry clothes and started the campfire. I was reminded that Grace is more patient than I am when it comes to roasting hot dogs: that first round of Hofmann’s dogs, with the toasted Freihofer’s New England Style Hot Dog Buns and the Howards’s Piccalilli, were perfect.

Once the fire stabilized, I took over some of the roasting, making efforts to emulate Grace’s patience. I believe these pictures show round two. They reveal our innovative bun-toasting technique. Mmmmmm!!!
