Looking good. I’m 2.5 pounds from where I was before vacation. That’s not bad at all considering how much beer and barbecue I consumed last week.

Now here’s the really cool thing: despite my being 2.5 pounds heavier than I was twelve days ago, my pants and belt are slightly looser. After putting on a second pair of freshly-washed pants today, I’m sure of it. Which means that the extra weight is muscle mass that I gained from all that kayaking and hiking. Yeah!
