Donuts and cookies from Raquette Lake General Store

Six hours and two traffic tickets later, we arrived at Raquette Lake. We got a gallon of milk and some cookies, and sat on the bench munching for a while. Eventually the lady from Mary’s in Inlet delivered the donuts. We bought some and made our way to our usual place of repast: the end of the dock.

That’s it for Raquette Lake General Store until Memorial Day, folks!

I feel the same way about Mario’s Italian Ice, only open from May through September.. Once in February, I found a forgotten dixie cup of lemon. It was a near solid block, which was slurped on for a solid week. Also fresh strawberry and farmer cheese packzis.
